Installing a sound pack

A sound pack gives a vehicle its own realistic engine sound. It is not sold on its own, only together with its vehicle, and it is delivered and installed like any FiveM resource.

Buying a sound pack

Only with a vehicle

A sound pack is not sold on its own: it is added to the order of a vehicle, car, motorcycle or scooter. Mention it in your ticket on our Discord when you order the vehicle.

Installation

  1. Download

Get the sound pack from the Cfx.re portal (see Getting your purchases) and extract the archive.

  2. Add the resource

Copy the folder into resources, without renaming it.

  3. Start it before the vehicles

Start the sound pack before the vehicles that use it:

    server.cfg
    ensure sound_pack_name
    ensure vehicle_name
  4. Restart the server

A full restart is needed to load the new sounds.

Assigning the sound to a vehicle

In GTA V, a vehicle's engine sound is set by the <audioNameHash> tag of its vehicles.meta file. It must contain the name of the sound:

vehicles.meta
<audioNameHash>sound_name</audioNameHash>
Sound name

If you are unsure of the exact name to use, open a ticket on our Discord naming the vehicle and the sound pack.

One sound for several vehicles

Many vehicles share similar sounds: a sound you already own can be used for other models. That is our loyalty system: you do not necessarily need to buy a new sound for every vehicle.
